Ferroli Launches Plug and Play AquaSolXS |

| | Ferroli is making solar water heating systems even quicker and easier to install with the new ‘plug and play’ AquaSolXS. |
Sized for domestic and smaller commercial applications, AquaSolXs includes a twin coil cylinder plus the solar pump, advanced controller, thermostats, drain-back tank and filling device - all built into the unit’s casing. By having all these factory-fitted components on board, Ferroli’s AquaSolXs takes significantly less time to install - just connect the solar circuit and it to the sanitary water circuit, and plug it into a 230V wall socket - then turn it on. | |
AquaSolXs is available in a twin coil 200 litre capacity model (200T) or a twin coil 300 litre option (300T). Solar energy from the Ferroli solar collector heats water in the AquaSolXs cylinder via the primary (lower) heating coil. This water can then be used directly at the DHW tap or shower. If required, the water temperature in the storage system can be given a heat boost by a Ferroli high efficiency Optimax HE system boiler using the secondary (upper) coil. |
Not only are Ferroli’s new AquaSolXs storage systems easy to install, their compact size also makes them convenient to site, even in a kitchen or utility room. And wherever it is located, all components are easy to access for commissioning and servicing by simply removing the front cover. |
The built-in controller has been specifically developed for the Ferroli AquaSolXs - to monitor and maximise system performance. The integrated pump is speed/flow regulated by the controller and optimised for drain-back and incoming solar radiation. In addition, the user can access information about the system, such as collector temperature and stored water temperature. |
Ferroli AquaSolXs storage tanks and heat exchangers are manufactured from stainless steel and are insulated with 100% CFC-free polyurethane. The storage systems have a minimum life expectancy of between 20 and 25 years. |
AquaSolXs is the latest addition to Ferroli’s growing range of renewable energy options, which also includes new air-source heat pumps. |
