New warranty choices on the Modena HE range

Modena 2yr-5yr-7yrwarranty_MODENA PAGE

29th February 2016

Because the Modena HE boiler is so reliable we’ve introduced a 7 or 10 year warranty upgrade to the standard 5 year option, so you can now give your customers even more peace of mind. Here’s a quick explanation of how it works.

All Modena HE boilers come with a 5 year warranty as standard. To upgrade to 7 or 10 years you will need to buy a Warranty Upgrade Pack from your merchant at the same time as buying the boiler. Inside this pack you will find a unique number – this represents your warranty upgrade.

Remember, you can only buy a warranty upgrade at the same time as buying the boiler. A warranty upgrade cannot be added after the boiler has been registered.

To register the warranty you will need to be a member of our loyalty club Installersmate. If you haven’t joined already, visit www.installersmate.co.uk and see the great benefits you’ll enjoy, including free notifications.

After installing the boiler for your customer, log into your Installersmate account and make your notification. As part of this process you will be asked to enter the serial number of the boiler.

If you have purchased a standard 5 year warranty boiler this length of warranty will be recorded against the notification. If you have purchased a warranty upgrade pack this is when you will be asked to enter your unique number. This will register the correct warranty length against this notification. Installersmate will generate and dispatch the warranty certificate to your customer.

Worth noting – every Modena HE boiler comes with an instructions card on how to register your warranty; these instructions apply to a standard 5 year warranty only. If you have purchased a 7 or 10 year warranty upgrade you can dispose of this card. Standard 5 year warranties can be registered via Installersmate and also via Domestic & General or by phone as normal.

That’s it, easy!

If you have any questions please get in touch, we are always pleased to hear from you and happy to help.

The Modena – more flueing options than any other boiler

flues

 11th February 2015

One of the many innovative features of the Modena HE boiler that make it so popular with installers is the versatile  flue  kit. Unlike other boilers of this type and class which come with a standard flue, the Modena offers an  extensive  range of flueing options, including twin pipe with a very long reach of up to 80m.*

Thanks to the 80mm twin pipe system, the Modena boiler can be installed almost anywhere in the property,  a  claim that not many boiler manufacturers can make. This flue allows for a reach of 80m* for the 27kW combi  and  70m* for the 32kw combi and all the system models.  The 80mm flue pipe is also translucent which allows  the installer to check that the condense is running away and not ‘pooling’ in the flue.

The Modena comes with a standard telescopic flue kit which can be adapted by purchasing both horizontal and vertical coaxial flue extensions as required for the chosen location within the property.

A centralised flue position on the boiler makes replacement installations in older properties much easier by being able to use the same flue hole through the wall.

There are many different classifications of flues and it’s very important that the regulations relating to positioning are adhered to for safety’s sake. The extensive options offered by the Modena means it is more adaptable than any other comparable boiler.

Our Flue Manual gives all the information that installers will need for working with Ferroli flues, including minimum clearances, standard flue applications, coaxial horizontal and vertical flues, 80mm two pipe flue applications, plume displacement kits and terminal positions. There’s also a handy illustrated list of flue parts with the part numbers needed to order from merchants.

Join our club! Ferroli launches new loyalty scheme Installersmate.co.uk

19th December 2014

Free Gas Safe notifications are just one of the fantastic benefits available to installers who join boiler  manufacturer Ferroli’s brand new loyalty club Installersmate.

By creating a profile on Installersmate, Gas Safe registered professionals can keep all their Ferroli boiler  installation records in one place and take advantage of business-boosting annual boiler service reminders, easy  warranty registrations, competitions and exclusive rewards. Plus all new members will receive a free Ferroli  branded black polo shirt.

“A great boiler depends on a great installer so we have created a club that will support the engineers who put their   trust in us and our fantastic boilers,” said Ferroli’s sales director John Moran. “We’ve made it straightforward  and  easy to use so that busy installers can quickly and easily complete the essential tasks of making notifications  and  registering their customers’ warranties. We have also added an email reminder feature that will be  invaluable for driving repeat business and building customer loyalty.”

With Installersmate the process for making Gas Safe notifications is exactly the same as doing it direct with Gas Safe except that there’s no £2.20 fee to pay – Ferroli picks up the bill. And just another couple of clicks are needed to safely register and activate the customer’s warranty. This is where Installersmate takes on the role of office assistant.

By entering the customer’s email address, Installersmate will send an email alert to both the installer and the customer six weeks before the anniversary of the installation reminding them that it’s time to arrange a date for an annual service. This takes the onus of the paperwork off the installer and helps to prevent losing business to a rival. Of course, it still works if the customer doesn’t give their email address, the reminder will just be sent to the installer.

But it’s not all about work – Installersmate will offer regular competitions and prize draws and a programme of points-per-boiler-purchased rewards scheme will be introduced next year. Installers who register now can enter a prize draw to win one of five Love2shop vouchers worth £150.

“If you install Ferroli boilers you’ll want to become a member of Installersmate,” said John. “Installersmate will save you valuable time and money; it keeps all your Ferroli boiler installation records safely in one place; it helps to maintain your relationship with your customers and it could reward you with a nice freebie. There’s everything to gain and nothing to lose.”

Ferroli training is now available in the Valleys

Further education college, Coleg y Cymoedd – meaning college of the valleys – is now THE place to go in  South Wales for full training on the Ferroli Modena HE range of domestic boilers.

At the Ystrad Mynach campus in Caerphilly,  Level 4 gas engineers can learn how to install and maintain  the Modena boiler on fully working 27kW & 32kW combi and 18kW system models.

Lea Thomas, Coleg y Cymoedd’s Gas Centre Manager & Assessor, wanted to extend the scope of the college’s  gas training courses by having the most modern and user-friendly appliances on-site that would give students skills that could be immediately put into practice in the workplace.

“A colleague recommended Ferroli as a partner for our gas assessment courses after hearing about the excellent performance of the new Modena boilers. I contacted AJ Kalirai, the Ferroli ASM for our area, and within just two weeks the training room was set up and fully functioning, ready for the start of the 2014 autumn term.

“Feedback from our students has been brilliant. The Modena boilers are easy to work on and our students feel they have learnt genuinely useful skills.”

At Coleg y Cymoedd’s Ystrad Mynach campus,  professional gas engineers can renew their Gas Safe registration.  Level 1, 2 & 3 Plumbing qualifications are also available at the Aberdare, Nantgarw and Ystrad Mynach campuses.

Contact training@ferroli.co.uk for dates of the next courses or visit www.cymoedd.ac.uk / email lea.thomas@cymoedd.ac.uk for more information.
